Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and now based Los Angeles, California, Victor is a Slamdance award-winning writer, a Ryan Murphy HALF directing fellow, a finalist for the Walt Disney Television Directing Program, and a director of branded films and commercials whose short narrative work has screened at Academy Award and BAFTA qualifying festivals worldwide.

Victor's intriguing blend of cultural idiosyncrasies strongly influences his storytelling sensibilities and have allowed him to work as a director on a multitude of campaigns for brands such as DIRECTTV, AT&T, MANGO, and SONY. He was selected as a finalist for the 2022 Commercial Director Diversity Program (CDDP), a program created by the AICP and DGA to increase representation of minority directors in commercials, and was also selected to take part in CDDP’s 50/50 Honorable Mentorship Program.

Victor’s short narrative work has screened at numerous Academy Award- and BAFTA-qualifying festivals including LEEDS, FLICKERS Rhode Island, LALIFF, and was featured in 2021’s InFocus: Latinx & Hispanic Cinema shorts presented by New Filmmakers LA (NFMLA) and the Academy. His narrative short THE UGLIEST was nominated in 2022’s NFMLA yearly awards for Best New Media & Experimental short.

Victor was a 2012 finalist for the Walt Disney Television Directing Program, and in 2019 was a fellow of the Ryan Murphy Television Half Initiative program where he shadowed his mentor, director Loni Peristere, on the 100th episode of AMERICAN HORROR STORY. Victor also shadowed director Stella Meghie on two episodes of BET+'s show THE FIRST WIVES CLUB.

Victor was a semifinalist for Lena Waithe’s Rising Voices Season 2 with his short thriller script about a Latino immigrant, CÁLMATE, MIJA. This script was also a quarterfinalist in 2022’s HollyShorts Screenplay Competition, and won a screenplay award at 2022 Slamdance screenplay competition. His bleak, near future script, SUNDOWN COUNTRY, won third place at the 2019 Slamdance Screenplay Competition and was a semifinalist in Screencraft’s Short Screenplay Competition in 2018. Both SUNDOWN COUNTRY and CÁLMATE, MIJA are featured in Coverfly’s red list for top thriller shorts. Victor was also a semifinalist on 2022’s Spotlight El Dorado competition presented by McDonald and top-10 finalist in the Killer Shorts Screenplay competition with his script IDENTIDAD RAZA.

Victor’s character driven, psychological horror feature script, KINGMAKER, was a quarterfinalist in Screamfest 2022, a semifinalist in 2022’s Filmmatic’s Horror Screenplay Awards Season 6 and a 2022 semifinalist in Filmmatic’s Inroads Fellowship Season 5, as well as being in the top 11% of discoverable projects on Coverfly. It was previously a Quaterfinalist in Final Draft’s Big Break Screenplay competition under the working title WE HAVE PLANS FOR YOU.

Victor’s goal in his narrative work, is to use the horror and thriller genres to tell heightened stories found at the crossroads of the immigrant and minority experience in the United States, that will speak to his community and offer a wider variety of representation to what Latino filmmakers and characters can be in film.
